Tips and Suggestions
- If you don’t want to use a food processor, you can crush the Oreos using a rolling pin. Just make sure there are no large cookie pieces left.
- Don’t skip chilling your truffles – this will make them much easier to dip.
- Make sure the cream cheese is completely softened (room temperature is best) before you start. Otherwise, it won’t blend as well, and you could end up with clumps of cream cheese in your truffles.
Variations
- You can make these smaller and get more out of the yield.
- You can add a splash of vanilla to the mix if you like.
- If you prefer the traditional chocolate Oreos, you can use those instead. Any flavored variety will also work.
- You can add a bit of green sanding sugar on top of these for a little extra sparkle.
Store these in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Yes, they’ll keep for 2 months in the freezer in an airtight container or freezer bag.
