Why We Love This Recipe

  • Easy recipe: This is a hassle-free dessert recipe that you can whip up in minutes with a few simple ingredients.
  • Peach flavor: The best part about this recipe is that it gets double the amount of peach flavor from the jello and the peach chunks.
  • Versatile: Though this recipe is a little on the sweeter side, fluffy jello salads can be served as a sweet side dish or an easy dessert after a meal.

Ingredients

  • Peach Jell-O mix (may come in a 6oz box, just use half)
  • Hot water
  • Cold water
  • Vanilla Instant pudding mix
  • Cool Whip, thawed
  • Canned sliced peaches in 100% juice, drained well and cut into chunks
  • Mini marshmallows

How to Make Peach Dessert Salad

Step One: Make the Peach Jello Mixture

orange jello and whisk in glass bowl
  • Combine the peach Jell-O mix with hot water in a large bowl and stir together until the powder dissolves.
  • Add the cold water and then refrigerate for 15 minutes to allow it to cool down.

Step Two: Add the Pudding

  • Once the mixture has cooled, mix in the instant vanilla pudding powder with a whisk until combined.
  • Put the bowl back in the refrigerator for an additional 15 minutes to allow the mixture to slightly thicken.

Step Three: Mix in the Other Ingredients

  • Fold in the whipped topping, drained and sliced peach chunks, and the mini marshmallows and mix until evenly distributed.

Step Four: Chill and Serve

  • Refrigerate the salad for at least 2-4 hours for the best results, or overnight. This allows time for the marshmallows to soften and soak up the flavor, and also allows the fluff to thicken up and get even creamier.
  • Serve chilled.

Recipe Variations and Add-ins

  • Other canned fruits: You can add even more fruity flavor to your peach fluff with fruit cocktail, maraschino cherries, pineapple tidbits or mandarin oranges. Just make sure any canned fruits are drained and rinsed under cold water before adding it to the creamy mixture.
  • Fresh fruit: Fold in some of your favorite fresh fruits like bananas or even fresh pineapple chunks.
  • Add some crunch: Chopped pecans or coconut flakes can be added to give the salad some crunch.
  • Cottage cheese: This is an old-fashion add-in that is in a lot of fruit salad recipes. Peaches and cottage cheese make a delicious combo.
  • Vanilla pudding: You can swap the instant vanilla pudding for cheesecake-flavored pudding for a different flavor.
  • Graham crackers: Crush up graham crackers and sprinkle them on top of the fluff to make it taste like peach cheesecake fluff!

Can I Use Fresh Peaches Instead?

Absolutely! For this recipe, you’ll need about 3-4 diced fresh peaches in place of the canned peaches.

Can I Use Frozen Peaches?

We don’t recommend frozen peaches as the fluff will get watery as the fluff sets.

Can I Use Sugar Free Jello?

You sure can! If you are wanting to cut back on the added sugar, you can use all sugar-free jello, pudding, and cool whip.  The salad may have a slightly looser consistency because sugar free whipped topping is not quite as thick as the original.

How Long Does This No Bake Dessert Salad Last in the Fridge?

This peach fluff salad can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days in an airtight container.

    can fresh peaches be used?

  2. We haven’t used fresh peaches, but it should work just the same … just be sure to slice and measure the peaches. And remove the skin.

  3. Why use whipped topping which is not good for anyone? Just chemicals – read the ingredients.
