Peppermint Kiss Cookies

I love these cookies because they have all the flavors of Christmas, and are elegant and festive at the same time.

Ingredients

Kiss cookie ingredients on table: sugar, candy canes, salt, milk, vanilla, peppermint, flour, butter

  • egg
  • vanilla and peppermint extracts
  • flour
  • baking soda
  • salt
  • milk
  • crushed candy canes or peppermints
  • Hershey’s candy cane kisses candy

How To Make Christmas Kiss Cookies?

steps to make cookies: cream butter, add flour and mints, scoop into balls and put on baking sheet.
  • Preheat oven to 350F.  
  • Line baking sheets with parchment paper or a silpat liner and set aside.
  • In medium-sized mixing bowl, beat together butter, sugar, egg, vanilla, and peppermint extract until incorporated. 
  • In a separate bowl stir together flour, baking soda, and salt until combined.  
  • Add flour mixture, milk, and candy canes to wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  • Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll balls in granulated sugar and place on cookie sheet. 
  • Place cookies onto prepared cookie sheets 2 inches apart.  
  • Bake cookies 8-10 minutes until edges are lightly browned. Remove from oven and let rest on pan 2-3 minutes. Place a candy Kiss into the center of each cookie. 
  • Remove cookies from cookie sheets and place on wire rack to cool completely.

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 Tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes or peppermint candies
  • 36-48 Hershey’s Candy Cane Kisses
  • cup white sugar

Instructions
