How to Make Crockpot Creamed Corn
Step One: Add the Ingredient to the Slow Cooker

- Add the cans of corn and other ingredients to the bottom of a 5 or 7-quart slow cooker.
Note: The cream cheese and butter do not need to be at room temperature before you add them; they will melt as they cook.
Step Two: Cook Low and Slow

- Cook on low heat for 3.5-4 hours, stirring periodically to mix the ingredients.
Step Three: Stir and Serve

- When done, use a rubber spatula to give it a good stir and to scrape the edges of the slow cooker.
- Add the homemade creamed corn to a large serving bowl and serve as a side dish to your favorite main dish.
Variations and Add-ins of Crockpot Cream Corn
- Instead of half and half, you can use heavy cream to make the sauce richer, or whole milk will make it a little thinner.
- Crispy bacon crumbles make a wonderful addition and give the corn a great smoky flavor.
- Give it a little bit of a Mexican flair by swapping the regular corn for canned Mexi-corn.
- Chopped green onions and green chilies are great options for giving it more flavor.
- Add a can of drained green beans for added color and flavor.
- Feel free to throw in a pinch of fresh herbs like fresh thyme, rosemary, or parsley.
How Do I Store Leftovers?
- Fridge- Once the crock pot corn cools, transfer it to an airtight container. You can store it in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
- Freezer – You can also freeze leftovers in a freezer-safe container for up to 2-3 months.
- Reheating- Thaw overnight in the fridge and reheat over medium heat on the stove or in the microwave until warm.
Can I Make This Recipe Stove Top?
You sure can. This recipe is very versatile and can be easily prepared on the stove. Simply combine the canned whole corn and other ingredients in a large saucepan on the stove, and let the magic happen over medium heat. You’ll want to stir it often to ensure that it doesn’t stick to the pan.
Can I Use Fresh Corn Kernels?
If you have fresh corn you would rather use, you certainly can. Just add the corn kernels to the crockpot with the other ingredients. You may have to increase the cooking time by half an hour.
