How to Make Crock Pot Easter Candy Clusters

Process of preparing Crockpot Easter Candy. Starting of with mixing and melting the ingredients and forming the candies. Then putting it on a tray.
  1. Spray inside of large crockpot or insert a crockpot liner for easy cleanup.
  2. Line 2 baking sheets with silpat mats or wax paper and set aside.
  3. Place almond bark pieces on bottom of crockpot.
  4. Next add the peanuts and white chocolate chips.
  5. Place lid on crockpot and set it on the low temperature for one hour.
  6. Remove lid and stir mixture to cover peanuts with chocolate mixture. If there are still chocolate pieces that haven’t melted, place lid back on and continue to cook. Give it a good stir every 15 minutes until all the chocolate is melted and can cover the peanuts.
  7. Add in half of the M&Ms and the mini marshmallows and stir to coat. (Don’t add these too early or they will melt into the candy mixture.)
  8. Using a small cookie scoop or two tablespoons, scoop a heaping tablespoon of the chocolate clusters onto the lined baking sheet.
  9. Immediately add sprinkles and remaining M&Ms and let set out until completely cooled and chocolate is set.
  10. Store in airtight container at room temperature.

Add-ins and Variations for Easter Crock Pot Candy

Chocolate: Vanilla candy really looks pretty in contrast with the pastel colors of the M&Ms and sprinkles. But if you have dark chocolate fans in your home, you can certainly swap out the chocolate. You can even use peanut butter chips with milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips for a totally different flavor.

Add some crunch: Broken up pretzel pieces or chow mein noodles give these candy clusters a lot of added crunch. You can also gently fold in a couple cups of rice cereal right before scooping out clusters,

Other themes: These easy treats are great for any holiday. All you have to do it change out the color of the festive sprinkles and the M&M’s based on the holiday. Try red and pink for Valentine’s Day, orange and black for Halloween or green and red for Christmas. The possibilities are endless!

Cupcake liners: For a really cute way to serve this candy, you can scoop the clusters into decorative cupcake liners.

Can I Make this Slow Cooker Chocolate Candy in the Microwave?

While you can make this candy in the microwave, it does make a bit more of a mess and takes several extra steps. You will need to melt the almond bark and the chocolate chips separately in a microwave-safe bowl.

Then combine the peanuts and M&Ms to a larger bowl with the melted chocolates. Stir well and turn out on a long piece of parchment paper or two lined baking sheets.

How Long will these Crock Pot Peanut Clusters Stay Fresh?

To keep your candy the freshest, place it in a cool place in an airtight container with parchment paper between each layer of clusters, for up to 2-3 weeks. The clusters will stay fresh up to a month if stored in the freezer.
