3-Ingredient Christmas Fudge

Some people call this a tiger butter fudge. It’s a no-bake fudge that doesn’t require fancy equipment like a double boiler or candy thermometer. Unlike traditional fudge, all you need is the 3 ingredients and a microwave-safe bowl. You’ll have a delicious treat without all the effort.

This homemade fudge couldn’t be easier. It’s a great recipe to make with kids — they can actually make it with just a little supervision. It’s a microwave fudge recipe which makes it even easier!

3-Ingredient Fudge Ingredients

bowl of white chocolate chips, open container of vanilla frosting, red and green food coloring all on a white counter

It’s true, you just need these three ingredients to make this easy recipe .

  • 12 oz white chocolate chips (2 cups)
  • 1 container vanilla frosting (Betty Crocker)
  • green and red gel food colors

Instructions

four photos : measuring cup with white chocolate chips; frosting added on top of the chips in cup; spatula sticking out of melted mixture; three white bowls with chocolate mixture, two with food coloring in them
  • Line 8×8 square pan with parchment paper or wax paper, leaving paper overhanging the edges of the pan. This will allow you to pull the paper and remove the fudge at the end. Spray parchment with cooking spray.
  • In large microwavable bowl, microwave white chips uncovered 30 seconds. Stir and microwave 30 more seconds.
  • Spoon frosting over chips and microwave 30 seconds and stir.. Microwave again in 15 second intervals until the mixture is smooth.
  • Evenly separate the white fudge mixture into three bowls.
  • Add green food coloring into one bowl and stir until desired color is achieved. Do the same with red. And leave the third bowl white.

  • Drop heaping tablespoons of green, red and white fudge into the bottom of the prepared ban creating a random pattern. Once all the dollops are are in the pan, pull a table knife through all the layers to create a marbled design.
  • Refrigerate uncovered until set, about 1 hour.
  • Remove fudge from pan and cut into individual squares (8 rows by 8 rows). Store covered in refrigerator.

Alternatives and Suggestions:

  • candy canes – you can crush candy canes and press them into the top of the fudge before it sets to make a peppermint version of this fudge
  • Christmas M&M – add mini red and green M&Ms to the top of the fudge
  • Christmas sprinkles – get festive with Christmas colors and holiday sprinkles
  • Grinch fudge – make it all green and add a red candy heart to make it Grinch fudge
  • dried cranberries – you can add dried cranberries like we did in our cranberry fudge recipe

How Do I Store This Fudge?

Store in an airtight container. It will keep for several days at room temperature.

Can You Freeze Fudge?

Yes, you can freeze this easy chocolate fudge if you don’t need it for 1-2 weeks. Fudge is safe to stay on the counter at room temperature for up to two weeks unless you live in a hot climate where the fudge might melt.

This Christmas swirl fudge is a perfect holiday treat and is great for holiday parties. It make a perfect gift for teachers, helpers, friends, and family.

I even keep these ingredients on hand during the holidays to make a last-minute gift to say Merry Christmas to someone special. Put fudge squares in clear cellophane bags with red and green ribbon for a festive touch

3-ingredient Christmas fudge is one of our favorite fudge recipes and we put some with our Christmas cookies on a special plate for Santa and serve some on Christmas morning.
