Technically, the fudge does contain alcohol so I wouldn’t serve it to children. In some recipes where alcohol is served, the alcohol burns off, but it’s not certain it would do that in this fudge recipe.

Fireball whisky is a cinnamon infused whisky that’s spicy. Most liquor stores will offer a variety of brands of cinnamon whisky.

Can You Freeze Fireball Fudge?

Yes, you can freeze this festive fireball fudge if you don’t need it for 1-2 weeks. Fudge is safe to stay on the counter at room temperature for up to two weeks unless you live in a hot climate where the fudge might melt.

How Do You Store This Fudge?

The best way to store fudge is in an airtight container at room temperature. It will last for several days (unless you eat it all first!) this way.

Alternatives and Suggestions

  • white chocolate – you can swap out the chocolate chips for white chocolate chips. If you do this, you can take half of the white chocolate and add red food coloring to make a swirl affect in the fudge
  • red fudge – you can also make red fudge using white chocolate chips and red food coloring.
  • festive shapes – remove the fudge from the pan and use Christmas cookie cutters to cut out festive shapes instead of cutting into squares
  • red hots – press cinnamon candies into the top of the fudge before the fudge sets for an added cinnamon kick and colorful addition
  • candy canes – add peppermint flavor by crushing candy canes and pressing them into the top of the fudge

This is a foolproof recipe that any inexperienced cook can make. Your friends will be impressed with this delicious recipe.

This easy fireball fudge recipe will quickly become a favorite. It’s a great gift for any cinnamon whiskey lover.

Hi I tried the recipe but it will not harden. It is like a frosting can eat with a spoon. I gave tried freezing it also with no luck.

Hi, I was wondering if we could use melting chocolate instead of chocolate chips

  6. It’s possible it would work, but the consistency will definitely be different. We usually don’t use melting chocolate as the base of a recipe. But melting chocolates are great to use as chocolate coatings.
