This white chocolate Layered Candy Corn Fudge is a fun and festive fall-themed treat that looks just like candy corn! With only a handful of ingredients and a few easy steps, you’ll have a rich and creamy layered candy confection that will get rave reviews at your next Halloween party.
Homemade Candy Corn Fudge Recipe
One of my favorite things about October is when I start seeing all those glorious bags of candy corn hit the shelves at the grocery store. And while that is certainly fall’s favorite store-bought candy, nothing can really beat homemade Halloween treats. So why not combine the two… a rich and decadent fudge and a dessert that has all festive colors you see in candy corn.
This recipe makes the perfect fall dessert to serve at parties, give as gifts or just to keep around the house for when a sweet tooth hits. White chocolate chips are melted with honey that makes it taste a lot like candy corn too! This layered fudge, adorned with an actual piece of candy corn, looks like it would be complicated to make. Trust me though, it’s so easy even the kids can help.

How to Make this Easy Candy Corn Fudge Recipe
Line a 9×5 loaf pan with aluminum foil. Then butter foil or spray with butter flavored cooking spray.
Step One: Combine Fudge Ingredients
- In a small or medium sauce pan over medium low heat combine 1 ½ cups white chocolate chips. Add ¼ cup heavy cream, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1 tablespoon honey.
Step Two: Melt the Chocolate Mixture
- Stir frequently until the chocolate melts and is nice and smooth.
Step Three: Create Colored Layers
- Add in yellow food coloring, in the melted chocolate, a little at a time until you get the color you’re looking. I used about 1/8 of a teaspoon. Stir until the color is consistent throughout the mixture.
- Pour the yellow fudge mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan, spread it evenly, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Repeat the same process again but for the second layer adding drops of orange food coloring. Pour the orange mixture over the refrigerated yellow first layer. Spread it evenly across, and place back in the refrigerator for another 30 minutes.
- Repeat the process again for the white layer and spread it evenly across the refrigerated orange fudge layer.
- Place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
Step Four: Chill and Decorate
- Remove from the refrigerator. Arrange candy corn in 6 rows of 4 across the top of the white fudge layer. It will still be soft, so you can gently press the actual candy corn into the fudge.
- Place the pan back in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours.
- When you’re ready to cut the fudge remove it from the refrigerator. Allow it to sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
- Use the foil to lift it from the pan. Place on a cutting board and remove the foil. Use a sharp knife to cut the fudge into 24 squares.
TIP: To get clean cuts wipe the knife with a damp cloth or rinse it between cuts.
Homemade Fudge Variations and Add-ins
- Decorations: If you want to add a little bling to the fudge, sprinkle some colored dixie crystals or fun Halloween colored sprinkles on top. Not a candy corn fan? You can also use a yellow or orange jelly belly to decorate the small pieces of fudge.
- Nuts: If you love a little added crunch to your fudge, throw in some finely chopped pecans or almonds. Just make sure you chop them up in tiny pieces so the fudge slices smoothly.
- Flavors: Though this recipe calls for vanilla extract, you can use any of your favorite extracts. Almond extract would be really great or for a fun twist, you could add mint or orange extract.
Tips for the Making the Best Fudge
- When melting chocolate, it’s really important to take your time and melt it slowly. Chocolate can burn easily so keep the temp on medium low or low, stirring it often,
- Line the baking pan with a sheet of foil that is longer than the pan so you can form little handles with it. Use foil handles to help you lift the fudge out of the bottom of the pan easily.
- For clean looking layers, make sure yellow layer is dried fairly firm before you add the orange layer. Do the same when you’re ready to add the white mixture.
- When adding the pieces of candy corn, leave about ½ an inch around the edge of the pan so that it can be trimmed off to create nice, neat edges for the fudge.
How to Store White Chocolate Fudge
Store in an airtight container with a piece of parchment paper between the layers. You can store right it on the counter for up to a couple of days. Or you can store it in the fridge for about a week.
Can I Freeze this Fudge?
Absolutely! Just make sure you wrap the squares individually in plastic wrap. That way, when you’re ready for it, you can take out just how much you want. For best results, to thaw it, unwrap the fudge and place it in the fridge overnight.
