Colorful Halloween Fudge

Fudge is such an easy dessert and people think it’s hard to make. It’s not hard at all and with this colorful version you’ll have everyone asking how you made it!

It’s a simple process of melting white chocolate and sweetened condensed milk with some butter until it’s smooth. Then you’ll divide the mixture into parts and put gel food coloring in it.

Place blobs of each color randomly in the baking dish so that you get a cool design pattern when the fudge hardens. It’s so fun and it will be unique every time you make it!

Ingredients

  • white chocolate chips
  • sweetened condensed milk
  • butter
  • vanilla
  • gel food coloring (we used black, yellow, pink, and teal)

Instructions

four photos of the process: glass baking dish lined with wax paper; sauce pan with ingredients being melted; melted white fudge in sauce pan; teal, black, yellow, and pink fudge mixture in baking dish
  • Line a 8×8 square pan with parchment paper
  • Add the chocolate chips, milk, and butter into a medium pot over low to medium heat
  • Stir mixture until melted
  • Stir in the pure vanilla extract
  • Divide the fudge into 4 small bowls
  • Mix in a few drops of each color into 1 bowl each
  • Alternate between the four colors by dropping a tablespoon of each color into the square pan Allow the fudge to harden overnight before cutting into two-inch squares

Tips

  • Line the pan – be sure to line the pan so you can pull the entire fudge piece out and cut on a table.
  • Chill time – let it cool completely
  • Sharp knife – use a sharp knife to get clean lines
  • Gel food coloring – since this recipe relies heavily on bright colors it’s best to use gel food colorings. The traditional food coloring drops won’t give you the same deep colors.

Alternatives

This is such a fun recipe and you can switch it up pretty easily to fit different themes.

  • Valentine’s Day – use red and pink food coloring and keep one part white chocolate to make a pretty pattern for Valentine’s day.
  • Christmas – use red, green and white. You could also add peppermint extract.
  • Halloween – orange, black and purple – this would also be a great combo for Halloween.
  • St. Patrick’s Day – green, black, and white. Add mint extract too.
