Ingredients Needed To Make This Simple S’mores Dessert
- Refrigerated Pie Crust
- 3 Full Size Hershey Chocolate Bars
- 4 Tbsp Butter
- ½ Cup Graham Cracker Crumbs
- ½ Cup Marshmallow Fluff
- 1 oz Cream Cheese (softened)
- 2 Tbsp Powdered Sugar
Ingredients Needed To Decorate
- ½ Cup Chocolate Chips
- 1 Tbsp Shortening
- Marshmallow Bits
How to Make S’mores Pies with Refrigerated Pie Crust
- Preheat oven to 425. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Use a food processor to make graham cracker crumbs from the graham cracker squares. Or just put them in a baggie and crush them with a rolling pin.
- Roll out pie crust on a floured surface and cut out 3-inch circles. Use a biscuit cutter or the rim of a glass to cut the circles. You should be able to get 9 out of each circle. You can ball up the excess dough and roll it out and cut out 2 more circles if desired. So you will have a total of 18-22 circles of pie crust dough.
- In a medium-size bowl combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and marshmallow fluff, mix thoroughly.
- Melt the butter and place graham cracker crumbs in a shallow dish.
- Take each circle of dough and brush one side with butter and then dip in graham cracker crumbs. Set aside until all circles have been dipped.
- With a dough circle plain side up place 2-3 pieces of chocolate bar in the center. Top it with a spoonful of the marshmallow cream mixture.
- Put the top crust on with the graham cracker side facing out.
- Using the tines of a fork, crimp around the sides of the pie crust to seal. If you have trouble getting them to stick lightly brush the inside edges with water before crimping.
- Place finished pies on a prepared baking sheet lined with a silicone mat or parchment paper and bake for 13-17 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve immediately or allow to cool in preparation to decorate.
- To decorate melt chocolate chips and shortening in a double boiler or in the microwave heating in 30-second increments stirring in between.
- Once the chocolate is melted place it in a piping bag and cut off the corner to form a small hole. Drizzle chocolate across each pie and immediately sprinkle with marshmallow bits.
- Allow cooling completely before serving or storing. Store in an air-tight container.
Special Tools
Make certain that you have bowls that can be heated in the microwave. You also may want to use a piping bag to drizzle on the melted chocolate.

What is Marshmallow fluff?
Marshmallow fluff is a pre-made soft marshmallow cream that’s super easy to use. It comes in a jar like peanut butter and you can scoop out as much as you need. Use it like you would regular marshmallows. It’s great in hot chocolate.
Why is it called a hand pie?
The name comes from the totally fun fact that you can hold the pie in your hand and walk while you eat it. This means that you’ll get to grab your dessert on the go or save yourself from having to do dishes later. It’s an easy recipe with little mess.
Can you make s’mores in the air fryer?
You bet! I always make these in the oven because that’s what I’m used to but if you have an air fryer, use that as well. Just make certain to leave room and don’t overstack.
