This Fruity Pebbles milkshake is a creamy vanilla ice cream milkshake infused fruity pebbles cereal and drizzled with strawberry syrup then topped with a heaping amount of whipped cream and more Fruity Pebbles as sprinkles. This colorful freak shake is my new favorite milkshake!
Fruity Pebbles Milkshake
We are in love with milkshakes and are making new concoctions all the time. We went to a new ice cream shop near our house that has all kind of freak shakes, cereal milk shakes, and original flavored ice cream creations. I chose their Fruity Pebbles milkshake. It was an amazing creation with strawberry syrup and fruity pebbles cereal.
Fruity Pebbles is one of my all-time favorite cereals. I wasn’t allowed to have it much as a kid, but I eat it for special occasions as an adult! This milkshake was amazing and I immediately knew we would have to try a version of our own at home.
This milkshake is a cereal lovers dream! It’s a great way to beat the summer heat or have a special treat any time of year.
Ingredients
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup fruity pebbles, separated
- 2 tablespoons strawberry syrup
- whipped cream
- 2 tablespoons vanilla frosting
Instructions
- Spread the vanilla frosting on the top rim of your milkshake glass. We like to get the inside and outside.
- Roll the top of the glass in the Fruity Pebbles cereal until the frosting is covered in cereal.
- In a strong blender, mix the ice cream and milk until smooth. Use the milkshake button if your blender has one.
- Toss in 1/4 cup of Fruity Pebbles cereal into the blender and mix to combine.
- Set your your tall milkshake glass and drizzle strawberry syrup down the sides of the glass, then pour the milkshake into the glass.
- Top with whipped cream and remaining Fruity Pebbles.
Make Your Own Buttercream Frosting
If you don’t have any of the premade frosting, you can make a small batch very quickly by combining 2 tablespoons of butter with a 1/4 confectioners sugar. Just stir to combine. Add a drop of water or milk if you can’t get it combined well enough.
You can also use marshmallow fluff for the rim of the glass. Pretty much anything that’s sticky and sweet!
What Type of Glass Should I Use?
We bought these inexpensive milkshake glasses on Amazon for pretty cheap. One of my friends got her milkshake glasses at the Goodwill store.
You can also use a mason jar or any tall glass. Also, clear plastic SOLO cups work great for drinks like this.
Options
Leave out the strawberry syrup. This milkshake is good with or without the syrup. If you use it, make sure it’s not hot or it will sink to the bottom of the milkshake. If it’s a little cold, it will slowly drizzle down the inside of the glass as your pouring your milkshake in.
Other Versions of Cereal Milkshakes
