Cream together sugar, butter, vanilla, and eggs.
Blend flour and salt. Add the flour mixture and blend on low spead until incorporated.
Wrap dough in plastic wrap and place in refridgerator for at least 2 hours.
Roll dough on floured board to 1/8” thick.
For each tree, cut all 3 cookie cutter sizes.
Bake at 375° for 10 minutes or just golden.
Spread frosting along the edges of the round cookies and roll in candy decorations.
Assemble trees by placing a dollup of frosting in the center of the largest cookie shape, topping with medium size cookie shape, adding another dollup of frosting in the center of that cookie, and completing the tree tower with the smalles cookie shape.
Finish cookies by adding frosting and more candy decorations.
