Ingredients

  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 1/4 cup dried minced onion
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Add the sour cream, dried minced onion, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt to a medium bowl.
16 ounces sour cream, 1/4 cup dried minced onion, 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon salt
  • Stir until everything is well combined.
  • For the best flavor, cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. This gives the dried onion time to soften and the flavors time to blend.
  • Serve with potato chips, crackers, or chopped vegetables.

Notes

Substitutions: Greek yogurt can be substituted for the sour cream. It will give the dip a slightly tangier flavor. A half and half mixture can also be used.
Storage: Store leftover French onion dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
