Preheat oven to 350.
Prepare the breadcrumbs by toasting 2-3 pieces of white bread and removing the crusts. Place in a food processor or blender and pulse until they are small crumbs. If you don't have a food processor you can chop the toast into tiny pieces with a knife. You can also use 1 cup of store-bought bread crumbs.
In a large mixing bowl, add the ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, parmesan cheese, and all of the dry and wet seasonings for the meatloaf. Mix to combine.
1 cup bread crumbs, 1 onion, 2 lbs ground beef, 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon pepper, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon ketchup, 2 teaspoons garlic, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 cup parsley
Whisk the eggs and the milk together and pour into the meat mixture.
2 eggs, 1/2 cup milk
Mix the meatloaf using your hands. You can use a spoon, but hands are best because you don’t want to over mix the meat. Over mixing can cause it to become tough.
Spray a loaf pan and add the meatloaf mixture, forming it into a loaf that fits into the pan.
In small mixing bowl, combine the ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce and pour half of the sauce on top of the meatloaf, spreading out over the entire loaf with the back of a spoon or a silicone baking brush.
1/2 cup ketchup, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Bake in oven for 40 minutes.
After 40 minutes, put the second half of sauce on the meatloaf and return to the oven for an additional 45 minutes.
Meatloaf is finished when the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees.
Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes and then slice and serve.
