Hot Cocoa Fudge

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan or double boiler
  • Measuring spoon
  • Sharp knife

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1.5 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 3 Tablespoons butter
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 packets hot chocolate mix
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • dehydrated marshmallows for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare a square 8x8 pan by lining it with aluminum foil or parchment paper and buttering.
  • Place sweetened condensed milk, and butter in the bowl of a double boiler (or a heat safe bowl over a medium size pan of water) and heat over medium heat, stirring frequently until heated through and well mixed.
  • Add in both kinds of chocolate chips and continue heating until the chocolate chips are melted and well incorporated. Remove from the heat.
  • Add in vanilla and hot chocolate mix and stir until thoroughly mixed.
  • Pour the mixture evenly into the prepared pan and immediately sprinkle with marshmallows.
  • Place in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
  • Cut into 16 pieces before serving.
  • Store refrigerated in an airtight container.
