In a large bowl combine the beef, pork, onion powder, garlic salt, pepper, salt, egg, breadcrumbs and milk.
1 pound ground beef, ½ pound ground pork, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon garlic salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper, ½ teaspoon salt, ⅔ cup breadcrumbs, 1 egg, 5 Tablespoons milk
Once mixture is all combined roll the meat into small balls, about 1 inch or so.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and working in batches cook the meatballs.
You want to cook the meatballs about 8 minutes turning frequently until brown on all sides and cooked through.
Remove the meatballs from the pan and set aside.
Wipe the pan out and return back to the stove.
To the pan over medium heat melt the butter and whisk in the flour.
3 Tablespoons butter
Cook the flour mixture for 1 minute.
3 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
Slowly whisk in the vegetable stock, then the beef stock.
1 cup vegetable stock, 1 cup beef stock
Whisk until the mixture comes back up to a bubble.
Whisk in the heavy cream, bring back up to a bubble to thicken.
1 cup heavy cream
Serve over mashed potatoes.
