Caramel Apple Salad

Ingredients

  • 3.4 ounces instant vanilla pudding
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 8 ounces whipped topping like Cool Whip
  • 3 granny smith apples
  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows
  • 2 Tablespoons caramel sauce plus extra for topping

Instructions

  • Chop the granny smith apples into chunks, and set aside.

  • In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together pudding mix and milk, until smooth.

  • Add the cool whip, and whisk until well combined.
    8 ounces whipped topping
  • Add the caramel sauce, and stir to combine.
    2 Tablespoons caramel sauce
  • Fold in the apple chunks and mini marshmallows.
    1 cup miniature marshmallows
  • Before serving, drizzle with caramel sauce.

Notes

Storage:
Place the salad in an airtight container or large bowl wrapped with plastic wrap and refrigerate it. It’s best to enjoy the salad within 1-2 days, because the apples can start to release juices, which may affect the texture.
Freezing is not recommended for this salad, because the texture of the apples and Cool Whip may change once thawed. It’s best enjoyed fresh or within a couple of days.
