  • 1 Baking sheet
  • 1 Wire rack

Ingredients

  • 12 fresh jalapeños
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 12 slices bacon cut in half

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400° F. Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  • Slice each jalapeño in half lengthwise. Use a spoon to remove the seeds and membranes. (Removing the membranes reduces the heat level.)
    12 fresh jalapeños
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth and well combined.
8 ounces cream cheese, 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder

  • Wrap each stuffed jalapeño with half a slice of bacon. Place the bacon seam side down on the wire rack.
    12 slices bacon
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the bacon is crispy and the filling is hot.
