  • Put the lid on the crockpot and set the heat to either low or high, depending on your time frame.
  • For a slow-cooked, super smooth result, choose the low-heat option and let simmer for 90 minutes to 2 hours. If you're short on time, opt for high heat, and cook the dip for about 1 hour to 90 minutes. Be vigilant to prevent overcooking.
  • To ensure a consistent texture and melded flavors, gently stir the mixture every 30 minutes until it's silky-smooth.
  • Once your cheese dip has reached the perfect creamy consistency, switch to the warm setting to keep it hot and ready for dipping.
  • Serve your delicious crockpot cheese dip with your choice of tortilla chips, crispy corn chips, or a colorful assortment of fresh cut vegetables.

Notes

How to Store Homemade White Queso
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3–4 days. Reheat in the crockpot or quickly heat in the microwave in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals until warmed through. For best results, I do not recommend freezing this queso, as dairy doesn’t tend to freeze well.
Can You Freeze Queso Dip?
Yes, you can store white queso dip in the freezer for up to 3 months. Prior to freezing, stir the dip until the ingredients are fully incorporated and store in a freezer-safe container.
