Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 small head of cabbage chopped, around 6 cups
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup uncooked minute rice
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 28 ounces tomato sauce
  • 14 ounces petite diced tomatoes with juice

Instructions

  • In a medium sized skillet brown the ground beef with the onion and garlic. If there’s any grease leftover drain it.

  • In the slow cooker add the chopped cabbage, rice, water, pepper, garlic salt, sugar, tomato sauce and diced tomatoes.

  • Add the cooked ground beef mixture and stir until everything is combined.
  • Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until the rice and cabbage is tender.
