Equipment

  • paper straws optional

Ingredients

  • 2 bags microwave popcorn
  • 8 cups miniature marshmallows
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup Halloween sprinkles

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with wax paper or parchment paper, set aside.
  • Pop your popcorn, and separate any unpopped kernels. Set aside.
  • In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Once butter is melted, add mini marshmallows, and cook, stirring frequently, until melted.
  • Once marshmallows have melted completely and are incorporated, pour popped popcorn into the pot.
  • Stir, coating all of the popcorn in the butter/marshmallow mixture. This will take some time and some muscle, keep stirring until everything is well mixed together and all of the popcorn is coated.
  • Add sprinkles, and mix to distribute sprinkles throughout the mix.
  • Spray your hands with non-stick spray and grab a handful of the popcorn marshmallow mixture.
  • Form the popcorn into balls, about softball sized.
  • Place the popcorn balls onto your parchment paper.
  • Repeat until all of the mixture has been used.
  • Poke paper straws into the popcorn balls, if desired, and sprinkle with a few extra sprinkles.
