Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 16 oz. red kidney beans drained and rinsed
  • 14.5 oz. crushed tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp sugar

Instructions

  • In large sauce pan add olive oil and heat for one minute. Place onion and cook until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add ground beef and break it apart and cook until beef is brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Drain excess grease with spoon.
  • Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Simmer up to 45 minutes for a thicker chili.
