Ingredients

  • 1 package 17.5 oz refrigerator cinnamon rolls like, Pillsbury Grands
  • ¼ cup confectioner’s sugar
  • ½ tsp water
  • 3 drops Green gel food color
  • Christmas sprinkles
  • 5 yellow M&Ms
  • 5 miniature peanut butter cups or Rolo candies unwrapped

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 375°F. Line cookie sheets with parchment or silpat liners.
  • Separate dough into 5 rolls that come in the package. Unroll each cinnamon roll.
  • Zig zag each strip of dough back and forth into a tree shape getting smaller at the top, with dough touching each other.
  • Place cinnamon roll trees 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
  • Bake according to package instructions, about 13-15 minutes or until bottoms are light golden brown. Remove to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
  • While the cinnamon trees are cooking make the cream cheese frosting.
  • In a small mixing bowl combine the powdered sugar and water and mix to combine. Add this to the premade cream cheese frosting that came in the cinnamon rolls package. Mix until combined and add green food coloring.
  • When cinnamon rolls are cool, frost and add sprinkles. Put one Yellow M&M at the top as a star. Using a small amount of frosting, secure a peanut butter cup or Rolo to the bottom of the tree to make a tree trunk.
