Cranberry Jalapeno Dip

This simple cranberry jalapeno cream cheese spread is perfect for a simple holiday appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 12-ounce package fresh cranberries
  • 1 jalapeño, stemmed, seeded and coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup apricot jam
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 16 ounces (2 blocks) cream cheese, room temperature

Instructions

  • Preheat an oven to 350.
  • Combine cranberries, sugar, and chopped jalapeno in a 2-quart baking dish and bake 30 minutes, until the cranberries pop and release their liquid.

  • Remove from oven and stir in the apricot jam and pecans.

  • Refrigerate overnight to blend the flavors.
  • To serve, spread cream cheese on a serving dish then pour cranberry jalapeno dip on top. Serve with Ritz crackers
