Crockpot Cube Steak with Mushroom Gravy
With just 6 simple ingredients, this Crockpot Cube Steak with Mushroom Gravy is a fast and easy dinner recipe for the family. Season the cube steak in the frying pan and then set it in the crockpot with mushroom soup and onion soup mix that makes the most amazing brown gravy.
Servings: 4 servings
- 4-6 cube steaks about one package
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup flour all-purpose
- 2 cans (10.75 oz. each) cream of mushroom soup
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 packet dry onion soup mix
- salt and pepper to taste
Spray the inside of your crockpot.
In medium-sized mixing bowl add mushroom soup, water, and contents of onion soup mix. Stir to combine. Place half of the mixture in the crockpot.
In large frying pan heat vegetable oil on medium-low heat.
Place flour in mixing bowl and add salt and pepper. Mix to combine. Place flour on a large plate and dredge cube steaks in flour.
One at a time, place cube steak in oil for about 1-2 minutes per side until lightly brown. Don’t cook through.
Place cube steaks in crockpot on top of mushroom soup mixture.
Pour remaining soup on top of steaks.
Turn crockpot on low and let cook for 4-6 hours.
