Hard Boiled Eggs in the Instant Pot

Servings: 14 eggs

  • Fourteen eggs or less

Instructions

  • Place the number of eggs you desire to cook upside down in the Instant Pot. This can be in a basket, on a rack, or just on the trivet that came with your Instant Pot.
  • Add at least 1 cup of water to your Instant Pot, pouring it directly over the eggs that you have already placed in there.
  • Place the lid on the Instant Pot. Be sure to turn the knob to seal to prevent it from venting while trying to come to pressure.
  • Push the Manual button and then the plus or minus button to set the cooking time to 5 minutes.
  • Prepare an ice bath while the eggs are coming to pressure. I grab a large mixing bowl and fill it with cold water and lots of ice cubes.
  • Naturally release your Instant Pot for 5 minutes once your eggs have cooked.
  • Remove eggs from Instant Pot quickly and place them in the prepared ice bath.
  • Allow eggs to cool for 5 minutes in the ice bath.
  • Peel the eggs by gently cracking them on a hard surface and slowly pulling off the shell.
