In the bowl of a stand mixer add the lukewarm water, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and yeast. Let sit for approximately 5 minutes. The mixture will be thick.
Add the remaining sugar, milk, butter, and salt, and stir to combine.
Whisk one egg into the mixture.
Add the flour, beating for about 3 minutes on medium-high speed. Be sure to scrape the dough from the sides of the bowl.
Next, using the dough hook attachment, knead the dough for 3-4 minutes.
Place about a tablespoon of vegetable oil into a medium-sized mixing bowl and spread around the bottom and sides of the bowl.
Place the bread dough into the mixing bowl and flip to cover the dough in oil.
Cover the bowl and let it rise for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.
Spray a 9x13-inch baking pan.
Remove the dough from the bowl and divide into 12 equal pieces.
Round each piece into a smooth ball and place it in the baking dish.
Cover the rolls with a kitchen towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
While rolls are baking, make the cinnamon butter.
In a medium-sized mixing bowl or your stand mixer whisk together butter, sugar, honey, and cinnamon until creamy and smooth. Place in a ramekin and serve with warm rolls.
When rolls are done, remove from the oven and immediately brush with melted butter
