Summertime in my house is already ticking away. It’s a sad state of affairs actually. I’m so busy with work and several other projects that I haven’t been able to really enjoy summer yet.
I’ve realized there are some times where you just have to do what you have to do and let it be. Realize that you can’t do everything. And, that’s OK. As long as you have a goal and you are working that goal, it’s OK. It’s when you just start doing things to do them and not realizing that time is passing you by when it’s a problem.
I’m trying to enjoy the moments as I have them right now. Summer is here and I will find time to enjoy some fun activities with my kids. Something on my summer list is to plant pumpkin seeds so we’ll be able to harvest our own pumpkin this Halloween. That’s the plan for one night after work this week.
I’m taking it one day, one week at a time right now, knowing it will eventually slow down when these projects are over. There is an end in sight. I can see it and am working toward that goal.
