It’s cold and flu season. Time to get those flu shots. Swallow those Vitamin C tablets. Stay away from people who are sneezing and coughing. Wash your hands all the time.
Moms everywhere are trying not to get sick. What happens when we get sick? We just suffer through it.
The kids still have needs. They need help getting up in the morning, having meals prepared for them, getting dressed for school, getting to school, and the list goes on. Unless Dad can stay home it’s a lost cause to think that Mom can actually get some rest. Even when Dad is able to be home, you can still hear all that is going on in the house and I bet you feel guilty that you’re not helping. That you just need to stay vertical all day long. Sleep and eat. That’s it for an entire day.
I think most Moms just deal with the illness and try to squeeze in rest when she can. Hopefully in a day or two the cold symptoms will go away and the energy level will return. We just do what we have to do.
So, go get your flu shot today. Maybe this season you can avoid the illness and stay on top of it all without having to also deal with feeling sick.

Yep.. we hang in there and do the best we can! I’m lucky enough to have one of those husbands that will take care of things with the kids so I can stay in bed. However, I’m also one of the ones that feels guilty as I lay in bed listening to them. UGH!
Anyway, go my flu shot this morning and hoping that take care of it for this season! 🙂
