The other day on Pinterest I found several photos with “Welcome to Summer!” banners for the kids to run through on the last day of school. See the image here. Such a cute idea so the kids understand the transition from school days to summer days. I need to find a way to pull this off this year. It’s something that could be a fun tradition
That reminds me, I need a summertime list. A list of all the things we want to do this summer. What does your family want to do this summer? It can be little things like “hit the beach at least twice,” or “visit Grandma.” Or, of course, if could be that big summer vacation that you’ve been planning for a year. Whatever it is, write it down. Make a list and let your kids see what’s on the list. Things like seeing a blockbuster movie, or reading X-amount of books can be on the list too. I find if I don’t write these things down, AND if I don’t actually put them on the calendar, the summer dwindles away and the new school year is about to start. That’s when I wonder, where did our summer go? Don’t let that happen to you this year Take control of your summer and set an agenda to have fun.
