This is a decent recipe. The cookies taste good and bake well.

However, I found I needed to refrigerate the dough prior to baking which (unless I missed it in the writeup, wasn't mentioned). It was too sticky to form and left dough on my hands after rolling about 3 or 4 cookie balls.

It also needed to be flattened before baking. The ones I didn't flatten were too dome-like to properly hold a candy pumpkin.

I also found that it does not yield 48 cookies (as your recipe states using 48 pumpkin candies). The first time I made this recipe only yielded THIRTY-eight. I made them slightly smaller the second time and still got only 40 out of that dough.

This is a good recipe for sugar cookie blossoms. Easy to follow and the cookies bake up as pictured. They don't have a lot of flavor. But the cookie is good
