I thought I’d share some links that I’ve found interesting today:
- Are you following the “Tiger Mom” controversy? It’s all over the TV and the Internet. Start with the “Wall Street Journal,” article titled, “Why Chinese Mothers Are Superior.”
- “Good Morning America” had a segment today about how CVS and Walgreens are offering more and more grocery items. Typically, they are cheaper than your grocery store. PLUS, with their reward programs, you often can save big bucks. This week CVS has Pull-Up diapers on sale where you get $1 extra care buck. Couple that with the $2.00 Huggies coupon in Sunday’s newspaper and you get $3.00 off. Good deal. Watch the GMA segment here.
- In trying to save time in the morning, I spotted a great idea from Weelicious (a great site for busy moms!): crock pot oatmeal. I made this and it fed the whole family the next morning. Take a look and give it a try. Here’s the quick recipe.
- On staying young: The “Orlando Sentinel” has a great story today about a woman who is 100 years old. Yes, that says 100! She volunteers for her local Meals on Wheels program, delivering food to people in need — many are decades younger than she is. Read the full story here. I also saw an old video clip of fitness guru Jack LeLanne, who died yesterday at age 96, that said the best way to get your body to do what you want it to is to use it.
