The other morning I picked up a book from my bookshelf that reminds me to slow down and take time for me. “Meditations For Women Who Do Too Much,” is a daily journal to guide women through life without being “workaholics, rushaholics, and careaholics.”
I particularly like the entry for March 15: Alone Time.
Alone time is absolutely essential to the human organism … My alone time is as essential to my spirit as food, sleep, and exercise are to my body.”
Each day tackles a new topic and can be read in about two minutes — who doesn’t have time for that?

Thanks for suggesting this book. It sounds like one that is definitely worth reading. Motherhood is for sure a balancing act, and this book sounds like it might provide ways to find a few minutes of peace within each day.

Thanks for suggesting this book. It sounds like one that is definitely worth reading. Motherhood is for sure a balancing act, and this book sounds like it might provide ways to find a few minutes of peace within each day. Here’s a book you might enjoy looking at: A Dozen Invisible Pieces and Other Confessions of Motherhood, written by Kimmelin Hull. You can find it at Amazon.com. It deals with the topics of how to balance home, family, work and time for self, as well as discussing bouts of post partum depression. It is well written and pretty captivating. Anyway, just thought I’d pass it along.
