Thank you for catching that! The ingredient list was confusing. You only need 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar for the cookie dough. The additional 1 cup confectioners’ sugar is used separately for the lemon coating after the cookies are baked. I’ve clarified the recipe so it’s easier to follow. Thanks for letting me know!

Thank you so much for sharing this. I love that the first batch barely made it to your granddaughter. The freeze‑dried fruit idea sounds incredible, too.

I made a double batch of these with the True Lemon crystals and they rocked! I made them for my granddaughter because she loves lemon! There was a several days delay getting them to her and I ended up eating most of them! I am making another double batch now so she will have enough. These are fantastic! I thought of making them in different fruit flavors with the freeze dried fruits🍓 also! Great job!

Like Cynthia and K below, I’m wondering when you add the other 3/4 cup of powdered sugar… and the instructions say to add the vanilla to the flour “mixture” but what have you added to the flour to make it a mixture? The photo shows adding the vanilla to the creamed butter and sugar, which is standard practice, but doesn’t square with your written instructions. Please review this recipe so it makes sense. Thanks!

Hi,
I'm not clear on recipe. For the dough, it mentions 1 cup powdered sugar, divided, using only 1/4 cp. It never mentions when you add the remaining 3/4 cup. The powdered sugar you are to use to coat the baked cookie with uses one full cup of the powdered sugar. Confusing. Could you please clarify. Thanks.
