Ladies, help me out today. I’m struggling with trying to do everything before December 25 rolls around next week. NEXT WEEK! Where on Earth did the time go?
I’ve been incredibly busy with a large project at work that has taken a lot of extra time this month, but I also think the days have just been slipping away. I’m all about balance as I write so often here, but I want to know, today … are you ready for the holidays? I’ll feel better knowing I’m not the only one who hasn’t finished the Christmas cards, hasn’t done the family portrait, who has a stash of delicious sugar cookie dough sitting in the fridge, waiting to be rolled and frosted. Tell me I’m not alone.

I know you’re not alone! =-) You know me, I’m no where near ready. I think part of the problem for a lot of people (me anyway) is we bite off more than we can chew. For instance, I decided to bake cookies for all the teachers at my girls school. So I’ve been up late the last few nights trying to get that done. Try not to stress too much.

I am NOT balancing the holidays! My sister and I keep emailing each other about how we are not feeling the spirit of the holidays, only totally overwhelmed! Finally, decided that whatever gets done, gets done, and “Oh, well!” Now I remember why, last year, I promised myself that we were going to go away for the holidays! I know a family that goes to a dude ranch each year, because family was just too demanding, and they weren’t enjoying it. I’m in awe that they can pull that off without feeling endless guilt. Breathe, we say…..breathe and it’ll be January before we know it!
Oh….Merry Christmas!

Thanks ladies! It helps to know some organized moms out there are struggling a bit too. I’ve crossed a couple things off my list and am feeling much better about Christmas coming so soon.
