Time. It comes. It goes. You have to make the most of all the time you have. We all have the same time in the day. I’ve recently adjusted my time and am trying to carve our more space for the things I truly love to do. What that means for this summer is some more time with my kids to do summer-time things.
I started reading Sir Ken Robinson’s “Finding Your Element.” his follow up to the wonderful The Element. I’m only a chapter in, but it is inspiring me to find my element. I think I’m on my way. In his book, he says that if you aren’t doing what you love you will be drained at the end of the day. Doesn’t this describe most of us? We come home from work exhausted but all we did was sit at our desk or attend meetings. What’s wrong with this picture? Maybe it’s not our element. It’s not our passion and there is something else we should be doing. I’m excited to keep reading “Finding Your Element” so that I can refine my search. I’ll let you know how it goes. Leave a comment if you are reading the book and what you think.

I am also reading Sir Ken’s book. I totally agree about doing something you love. I am fortunate to have discovered my passion for books. But I am very fortunate to be able to make my living doing it.
I am looking forward to seeing you thrive working on your own.
