This recipe mentions 15 ounces of cake mix. Cake companies have recently reduced the sizes of box cake mix down to 13.25 ounces. We haven’t retested this recipe with that amount, nor have we doubled or tripled the recipe. As for the butter, the recipe calls for a half cup of butter, which is one stick.

Recipe Questions:
I tripled the recipe – recipe calls for 45 ounces (or 1 box) of cake mix. I live in WI, and our cake mixes are in 13.25 ounce boxes – not sure if I should have used 1 box or more of the cake mix (I used 3 boxes because I didn’t have enough space in my crockpot for the 4th box of cake mix). Is the recipe calling for 45 ounces of cake mix or 1 box of cake mix?

Recipe calls for 1 1/2 cups of butter (1 stick). One stick of butter = 1 cup. I used 1 1/2 sticks of butter. Should I have used 1 stick or 1 1/2 sticks of butter?

Is there a place that we can view the reviews of this cobbler?

Hopefully my 6-8 quart crockpot runs hot (which it sometimes does!) and cooks this up in 4 hours for our Church potluck today!
