Ever struggle with what to blog about?
You just can’t think of anything and you know you need to get a new post up?
Happens to the best of us.
There are a few tips to avoid having nothing to blog about:
1. Keep and maintain an editorial calendar. I use Trello (free) to manage my calendar and can easily move around virtual post it notes based on what ideas I want to write. When a new idea strikes, I create a post it note and add it to my board.
2. Write a post about what you’re currently trying to figure out. If you’re searching the Internet for a solution to a problem you’re having, chances are others are too. Turn that into a great blog post listing the solutions. Here’s a great article talking more about this idea.
3. Purchase evergreen articles from a VA to keep on hand for when you have a block, or when you run out of time. Come up with several topics that will be great to post year round and hire a professional virtual assistant to write them for you — or to generate an outline with key facts so you can write around their text and make it your own.
4. Brainstorm a list of 100 ideas. Take time to write a list of ideas that would work great for your readers. When you have extra time, start a draft of one or more of these articles. As you find more information add it to the article. In no time you’ll have a completed draft and all you’ll need to do is tidy it up and launch.
