For Halloween last year I bought Welch’s Fruit Snacks to give away to trick-or-treaters. My two-year-old son loved them and though that I was giving him “CANDY” each time I let him have some.
At first, I thought I was giving him sugarless gummy treats and they quickly became a favorite for us. I thought I was giving him something healthy (made with real juice!) while he felt like he was eating candy.
After months of searching for these delightful treats I finally found them again — this time paying close attention to the label. Sugar. Yep, it’s in there. I’m am a bit disappointed at this revalation, but have come to terms with it realizing there are worse things to worry about than some tiny fruit snacks I give my son as a treat.

Honestly, I get really annoyed with the companies who package these things like they’re good snacks for your kids. It just bugs the heck out of me! I think they’re a little evil, these companies who market this stuff as anything other than candy.

Ha ha ha! There’s no way I ever would’ve been fooled that those snacks would be candy! I had too much of a sweet tooth when I was growing up. Actually, I still do.
